I love to work in layers and I love using phone book pages as the first layer, I paint over the pages with gesso, in the above whisper I have also used a light wash of blue ink. On top of this I have used oil of wintergreen to transfer a toner photocopy of an image I sketched while on a train travelling to New York, the final layer was text using a zig pen!
Kristin has once again provided us with an interesting format for her book, I just hope I got close to the theme that Kristin had in mind, if not hopefully you like it anyway Kristin......I had a lot of fun putting it together!

"Zig"is the the brand name for a double nibbed felt tipped pen, usually one nib is fine at the other end of the pen there is either a chiselled nib, the sort used to write calligraphically, or a thicker round nib. The Zig pens come in a variety of colours, I purchased mine from a scapbook shop, I think that maybe Spotlight also sells them.
